Three-term Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, who lost his bid for reelection Tuesday, doesn’t share Ohioans’ values, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose told Newsmax on Wednesday.

Republican Bernie Moreno unseated Brown in Tuesday’s election, flipping the seat and giving the GOP control of the chamber. On “Newsline,” LaRose said, “This is huge. So happy for my friend Bernie Moreno. Even more happy for the people of Ohio and the United States. I had the chance to travel with Bernie over the last couple of weeks out on the campaign trail, sort of helping as his warm-up act.

“And I often said to people, ‘It’s going to be our job to fire Sherrod Brown so that Bernie Moreno can go to Washington, D.C. and fire Chuck Schumer.’ And now that’s exactly what’s going to happen.”
