Dick Morris, political adviser and host of Newsmax’s “Dick Morris Democracy,” declared former President-elect Donald Trump’s victory signals the end of identity politics while pointing to significant shifts in voting trends among minority groups as turning points in U.S. politics.
In an appearance on “The Chris Salcedo Show,” Morris argued that changing demographics and recent voting patterns signal a new era in American politics.
“I think that the most significant result of the election last night, other than, of course, the outcome, is the end of identity politics; never again will a candidate be nominated because of who she or he is, what color, what color the skin is, where they’re from. That now is gone as a factor in politics,” he said.
