In one of the nine remaining House races too close to call, Republican Nick Begich leads incumbent Rep. Mary Peltola, D-Alaska, in a ranked-choice voting state that would flip a seat to the GOP.
Begich had 49.6% of the vote to Peltola’s 45.6% with an estimated 26% of the vote remaining to be counted.
That vote tally is just first-choice ballots. If no candidate gets more than 50% of the vote, ranked-choice voting subsequent rounds will determine the winner Nov. 20.
